BT Adds CyberArk’s Privileged Identity Management to its Managed Security Service Business

BT (formerly British Telecommunications), the London-based telecom carrier, has launched a privileged identity managed security service purpose-built on CyberArk’s identity security platform.

The collaboration, which has produced BT’s global Managed Identity Privileged Access Management, is being called by BT the “first-of-its-kind” for its customers in that it delivers “scalable and effective” cybersecurity risk reduction.

Each company gets something valuable for their businesses out of the arrangement. BT gets privileged identity managed security service to add to its managed services business, while CyberArk significantly extends the geographic reach of its platform.

Natalie Walker, BT security portfolio director, explained how the deal will gain BT customers “peace of mind”:

“The CyberArk Identity Security Platform, coupled with our managed service, will help simplify the monitoring and control of privileged access for our customers’ on-premises, cloud and hybrid infrastructures. Our accredited experts and 24×7 support give customers peace of mind that their privileged identities are secure.”
