Kovrr to help bolster Deutsche Rück’s cyber modelling capabilties

Cyber risk modeller Kovrr has announced a collaboration with Deutsche Rück designed to help support the reinsurer’s cyber risk modelling capabilities.

As part of the agreement, Kovrr will implement a platform to provide Deutsche Rück with validation analysis.

Kovrr says its solution provides re/insurers with models built bottom-up, utilising data that closely corresponds to risk composition by territory, industry, entity size.

“We’re aware of the challenges of modeling cyber risk,” said Thomas Axer, Head of Central Underwriting Management at Deutsche Rück.

“We want to make sure we’re properly accounting for all types of events that may come our way, by validating our own analyses with Kovrr’s support.

“Kovrr’s platform delivers best in class analytics and unique views of risk which gives us confidence in the insights provided.”

Australian cyber security firm, InfoTrust, has been awarded Mimecast’s Australia New Zealand Growth Partner Award for FY20 at their Annual Partner Awards.

Mimecast acknowledged the efforts of its channel partners, with InfoTrust being recognised for its strategic alignment, delivery of customer outcomes, financial performance and growth.

Protecdiv partners with BMS on P&C reinsurance offering

Specialty property and casualty re/insurance broker Protecdiv has announced a new strategic relationship with BMS Group to enhance its service offering to property and casualty (P&C) reinsurance clients.

The companies believe the partnership will enable them to leverage their strengths in the production, placement and servicing of ceded reinsurance and retrocession business.

Protecdiv explained that the relationship would provide a joint proposition to clients in the US and internationally, with a focus on property, general liability, auto, workers compensation, cyber risk, mortgage and opportunities in emerging risks.
