Allan “Ole” Eggleson
STOUGHTON – Allan “Ole” Eggleson, 94, a distinguished alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Army Veteran, passed away peacefully in Stoughton, WI on October 26, 2023. His wife of 71 years, Joyce Anna Drayton, the Love of his Life, was by his side. He left a legacy as a devoted husband and a loving father, who touched the lives of many and made friends wherever he went.
Born to Elmer and Anna Eggleson in Stoughton. Allan’s life was marked by profound family commitment and enduring love. Allan found immense joy in cheering on his family in various sports, music, plays, and anything his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were interested in.
He created unforgettable memories for his family by taking them on annual ski, lake cottage, Florida beach, and Milwaukee Summerfest trips, numerous football, basketball, and baseball games,and concerts, too many to count.
Allan and Joyce met at Lake Kegonsa in the summer of 1951, and were married Aug. 31, 1952, in Sycamore, IL. They lived in Indianapolis, IN; Wauwatosa, WI; Troy, OH; and eventually settled in Sycamore.
