FRAMINGHAM — The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority has implemented new measures to report spending data and to track how its vehicles are used following a review by the state auditor’s office.

The MWRTA, which provides bus transportation in 15 MetroWest communities, was faulted for failing to keep a detailed log of how so-called non-revenue vehicles, such as cars and trucks, are used by employees.

In a report released last week, state Auditor Suzanne Bump’s office also noted the MWRTA failed to report financial information directly to the Executive Office of Administration and Finance.
