William De Leon, global head of portfolio risk management at PIMCO, resigned July 20 because of allegations of inappropriate actions against a PIMCO employee, according to a PIMCO spokesman.

Mr. De Leon’s actions were alleged to have taken place at a May 2017 charity event, the spokesman confirmed.

Sudi Mariappa was named global head of portfolio risk management to replace Mr. De Leon at Pacific Investment Management Co., according to a memo to employees from Daniel Ivascyn, group chief investment officer, and CEO Emmanuel Roman.
