David Aguilar

David V. Aguilar is the former Acting Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the largest law enforcement organization in the country. In this position, he oversaw more than 60,000 agents, officers, and other personnel and a budget of more than $11 billion. Before leading CBP, Mr. Aguilar was appointed by President George W. Bush as the National Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol. He previously served as Chief of the Tucson Sector and in various leadership positions within the U.S. Border Patrol. Mr. Aguilar is currently a Principal at GSIS, where he advises clients on border security and logistics, global trade and commerce, supply chain management and security, risk management, viability assessments, and strategic planning and implementation.
