Most central banks have a centralised risk unit but the areas covered vary among institutions, Central Banking’s Risk Management Benchmarks 2022 reveal.
Two-thirds of respondents from 30 central banks said they have a centralised risk unit.
Among those 20, reputational and operational were the most widely covered risks, incorporated by 95% and 80% respectively. Liquidity, governance and market risks were covered by 75% each.
