August again saw some investments in cloud, data, cyber, and AI startups. The month saw a comparable number of acquisitions as well. Notable among the fundings was Nile, the leader in next-generation enterprise networks, announced a $175 million Series C investment. In other news, Cyber insurance company Resilience recently announced the next big milestone for its company, a $100 million Series D funding round.

In acquisitions, Partner One, one of the fastest growing software conglomerates in the world, announced its acquisition of Fidelis Cybersecurity software. Also, Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd., a leading provider of cyber security solutions globally, signed a definitive agreement to acquire Perimeter 81, a pioneering Security Service Edge (SSE) company for $490 Mn.
