Ulaanbaatar, October 14, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, under the theme “Surge to 2030: Enhancing Ambition in Asia-Pacific to Accelerate Disaster Risk Reduction,” was organized on October 14, 2024, in Manila, the Philippines.
On the sidelines of the biennial Ministerial Conference, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Amarsaikhan Sainbuyan and Assistant Secretary-General and Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction Kamal Kishore held an official meeting. During the meeting, Mr. Amarsaikhan Sainbuyan reported on the Government’s activities in implementing the “Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030,” and the two sides exchanged views on collaborating with countries in the Asia-Pacific region and international organizations in this sector.
