Aussie enterprise security and risk management spend to surpass $6B – ARN

Australian organisations are forecast to spend nearly $6.2 billion on information security and risk management products and services in 2025, up 14.4 per cent from last year.

This is according to Gartner, with vice president analyst Richard Addiscott claiming the boost in spending is being driven from the prevalence of generative AI and its impact on cyber security.

“Coupled with the enduring challenges of an ever-evolving threat landscape, widening talent gaps and increasing regulatory oversight, [Australian security and risk management leaders’] efforts are predominantly focused on enabling transformation and embedding resilience this year.”

Gartner noted that AI adoption is causing investment increases in security software markets like application security, data security and privacy, and infrastructure protection.
