One Sterlington High School club sponsor resigned and a second lost sponsorship and cash-handling privileges due to missing funds.
A 2017 audit released Monday for the Ouachita Parish School Board states the missing deposits were discovered through the board’s internal auditing function.
Two years of club finances were analyzed, and auditors determined the sponsors did not fully deposit receipts for several activities including program and concessions sales, student fees and other fundraiser dollars.
