Former Strongsville schools maintenance foreman under investigation for theft from district

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — A former Strongsville schools maintenance foreman may face criminal charges related to his allegedly stealing property, and possibly money, from the school district.

On Thursday, the Lorain County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at the man’s home, according to a Strongsville City Schools press release. District officials said “much” of the stolen property was recovered at that time.

The raid occurred after an investigation by the district and the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office, both of which, citing an ongoing investigation, would not reveal the man’s name, what and how much he allegedly stole, when he worked for the schools or why he left.
