Agrani Bank along with 49 other banks on Sunday signed a participation agreement with the Bangladesh Bank on its Tk5000 crore refinancing scheme formed to increase food production to ensure food security.
In the presence of Bangladesh Bank Governor Abdur Rauf Talukder, the contract documents were handed over to the chief executives of 50 banks on Sunday (8 January) for conducting loan activities under the said scheme, reads a press release.
On behalf of the Bangladesh Bank, Deputy Governor AKM Sajedur Rahman Khan, Executive Director Md Anwarul Islam and Director of Agricultural Credit Department Md Abul Kalam Azad were present in the contract paper handover ceremony.
Managing Director and CEO Md Murshedul Kabir and Deputy General Manager and Head of Department of Agriculture and Rural Credit Md Solaiman Molla were present on behalf of Agrani Bank.
