Asian leaders to determine disaster risk reduction policy

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Asian Leaders meeting was held at the AMCDRR 2018. Ministers and heads of the delegation of the countries that previously hosted the World and Asian Conferences on Disaster Risk Reduction attended the meeting.

Issues regarding current situation of regional disaster risk management, achievements, recommendations on overcoming difficulties in managing further implementation and investments were discussed at the meeting. The meeting focused on determining the future policy of disaster risk reduction.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin said “The Leaders meeting defines the major solutions and tendencies of the region. From the conclusions of the Asian Regional Plan for Disaster Risk Reduction 2016-2018, we have made great achievements.
