BDO Jersey are sponsoring a week of interactive cyber security workshops for local students, delivered by the Smallpeice Trust in partnership with Skills Jersey.
Taking place from 24–28 March 2025, the workshops will give up to 600 students across Jersey aged 13 to 14 the chance to develop key cyber security skills. Working in teams, students will take on a series of cyber puzzles using open-source intelligence, testing their ability to crack sophisticated cyphers and break into a fictitious research database. Throughout the week, they will be supported by cyber specialists from BDO Jersey, who will provide guidance and insights into real-world cyber security challenges.
Dave Roworth from Skills Jersey said: “The aim of this week-long programme of workshops is to expose students at an early age to the challenges faced by cyber security specialists, and to promote opportunities available to pursue careers in this area.
