As the people of Ukraine continue to hold out against the Russian invasion, the Biden Administration, in partnership with allies around the world, has issued a series of sanctions and export controls aimed at isolating the economies of Russia and Belarus. The White House now plans to ramp up enforcement of these, along with pre-existing sanctions. Below, Paul Weiss attorneys provide a rundown of important factors to monitor.
In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Biden Administration has issued a sweeping set of sanctions and export control measures affecting Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The administration has also warned that it is ramping up efforts to enforce these new measures, as well as the pre-existing sanctions regarding Russia/Ukraine.
