A Boonville woman has pleaded guilty to federal bank fraud after taking more than $18,000 from her employer, a union representing Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital employees.

A federal judge ordered July 23 the unsealing of charges against 34-year-old Victoria C. Sharp. Prosecutors stated in a federal complaint she forged paychecks over a period of two years and was discovered through an unrelated audit.

According to the complaint, Sharp was a clerical worker for Local 903 of the American Federation of Government Employees National Union, which represents professional employees at the hospital.
