By attending Risk Awareness Week, you’re gaining a greater awareness of risk and how to manage it.
But have you ever considered what drives our awareness of the risks we face on a day-to-day basis? In this session, we’ll explore some of the cognitive processes and factors that can make us more — or less — aware of the risks we’re running. If we’re blind to risk, it can encourage us to push things too far. But equally, if we over-estimate the risks we’re facing, it can lead to us not taking advantage of opportunities.
By understanding the factors that drive our awareness of risk, we can design processes that can calibrate the natural human tendencies with regard to risk. That can help us at work and in our personal lives.
