ONE of the state’s most respected administrators, Col Gellatly, has resigned as chairman of Newcastle City Council’s audit and risk committee over the recent restructure of the council.
The Newcastle Herald has been told that the restructure was “the final straw” for Dr Gellatly, but a council spokesperson said “no concerns have been expressed” by other members of the audit committee.
