Communications Federal Secretary Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui has said that on the directive of Communications State Minister Murad Saeed, an internal audit team has been established under of Communications Division Chief Finance and Accounts Officer Fakharuzzman Ali Cheema.
The objective of this move is to safeguard the accounts of the communications development schemes and to ensure transparency in them. He was presiding over a high-level meeting held at Ministry of Communications today.
Siddiqui said that the Ministry of Communications is committed to the vision of the present government and that pragmatic measures are being taken to ensure transparency and control expenditures in communications projects throughout the country.
