The Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. on Tuesday named Eamonn Cunningham, a longtime chief risk officer and president of RIMS Australasia Chapter, as the recipient of the RIMS Harry & Dorothy Goodell Award for lifetime achievement in risk management.
Named in honor of RIMS’ first executive director, Harry Goodell, and his wife, the award pays tribute to individuals who have furthered the goals of RIMS and the risk management discipline.
Mr. Cunningham retired in 2016 as chief risk officer at Scentre Group in Sydney, Australia.
He had been with global real estate development and management firm Scentre and its predecessor company, Westfield Group, for 30 years.
The honor was announced Tuesday by RIMS CEO Gary A. LaBranche at the RIMS New Zealand and Pacific Island Chapter Forum and confirmed by the Goodell Award selection committee chaired by Jennifer Santiago, RIMS 2023 president.
Mr. Cunningham will be presented with the award May 6 at the RIMS annual RISKWORLD conference in San Diego.
