Cybersecurity business expert to share career outlook at Walsh College | Local News

Cybersecurity expert Chris Burrows will share his insights about pursuing a career in information security during Walsh’s Conversation With Leaders presentation on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at the business college’s Troy location.

The event begins at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.

There is a great need for employees in the field of cybersecurity. It is estimated there will be 2 million unfilled cybersecurity positions by 2019, according to ISACA, a nonprofit information security group.

“There is a wide range of opportunities in cybersecurity,” says Marsha Kelliher, president and CEO of Walsh. “We are pleased to welcome Mr. Burrows to Walsh to speak with our students and the community about this rapidly growing area.”

Burrows, senior vice president of Detroit-based Cyber Security Solutions, has more than 28 years of experience in risk management, information security and IT operations.
