DeNexus, vendor of end-to-end cyber risk management for operational technology (OT) environments within Industrial Enterprises and Critical Infrastructure, announced a significant upgrade to its DeRISK platform with the release of Version 5.4.12. The latest release introduces enhanced modeling capabilities, expanded sector support, improved integration options, and a new way to track and visualize risk over time.

Improved Modeling for Transmission & Distribution of Electricity Systems

DeRISK now offers advanced modeling of substation-specific inputs and penalties, enabling: 

  • More precise calculation of equipment damage and extortion losses per substation 
  • Modeling of environmental and regulatory penalties 
  • Enhanced simulation of cascading loss events within Transmission & Distribution networks

Support for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) 

DeRISK adds BESS as a new facility type, joining an existing portfolio that includes wind power, solar power,  combined heat and power (CHP), and combined cycle facilities.
