CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Misamis Oriental, August 23 (PIA)–Focusing on the high-risk local government units of Northern Mindanao, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-10 conducted a hazard and risk-assessment using Geographic Information System (GIS), aimed to provide said LGUs further knowledge and hands-on skills on the advanced features of GIS as powerful hazard and risk assessment tool.
GIS allows the representation of reality and the simulation of different scenarios such as different flood or landslide level.
