This Floodplain Management Study and Plan (FMSP) has been prepared by JBPacific on behalf of Clarence Valley Council (CVC), which has been jointly funded by the Department of Planning and Environment (DPE) and Council.
It uses updated flood information developed within the Wooli Wooli River Flood Study (JBP 2022) to review and update of the previous Wooli River FMP completed in 1999 (PBP 1999) which was commissioned by the then-Ulmarra Shire Council.
The NSW Government developed a Floodplain Development Manual (2005) to assist the floodplain management process. The management actions within the updated FMSP have been developed using the new flood modelling information to consider the preferred strategic approach to floodplain management, including non-structural options such as evacuation planning, flood recovery planning and flood forecasting.
