Eastern Universities Announce Cybersecurity Alliance

(TNS) — CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cleveland State, Case Western Reserve and Mercyhurst universities have formed the North Coast Cyber Research and Training Alliance to develop cybersecurity education, research and training programs in western Pennsylvania and Northeast Ohio.

While each institution maintains nationally recognized programs in cybersecurity, the schools said in a joint statement that the agreement will leverage the combination of strengths of the three:

Cyber intelligence threat analysis and analytics: Ridge College of Intelligence Studies & Applied Sciences at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa..

Cyber engineering and hardware solutions, Case School of Engineering at CWRU.

Cyber regulatory and policy analysis, Center for Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection at CSU’s Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
