Emergencies Committee receives special equipment to carry out rescue operations

The Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan yesterday received special equipment to carry rescue operations out.

The Emergencies Committee press center says the equipment has been purchased under the National Disaster Risk Management Project supported by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Besides, the Committee received two motor boats from the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe for its rescue subunits, the press center says.

All technical means are reportedly designed for timely operations to carry out emergency rescue operations, eliminate the consequences of natural disasters, and carry out other urgent works, the press center added.     

Meanwhile, the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe said on February 7 that it has donated two specialized boats to the country’s Emergencies Committee to bolster Tajikistan’s emergency response capabilities.
