Mr. Momodou Jobe, a senior Internal Auditor at the Internal Audit Department, has been promoted to the position of Principal Internal Auditor, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. Mr. Jobe’s promotion comes into effect on November 1st 2018. He is going to enjoy a pay raise of D56,434.00 per annum. He has been elevated to Grade 10, per the government’s pay scale for Civil Servants.
Mrs. Mam Marie Jeng Ceesay, one of the oldest staffers of the unit, who was promoted on September 5th, 2017, from the position of Senior Internal Auditor to Principal Internal Auditor, has been moved to the Ministry of Interior. The circumstances surrounding Mrs. Ceesay’s transfer is not clear, but sources have it that there is an internal infighting at the National Audit office.

Meanwhile, Mr. Dawda Njie, a senior Internal Auditor, has been promoted to the position of Deputy Director General at the Directorate of Internal Audit. Mr. Njie is going to enjoy an annual pay raise of D 74,549,00. He has been elevated to Grade 12.
