EPHRATA — A handgun has gone missing from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office inventory, and steps are underway to find it.
Sheriff Joe Kriete said in a Facebook post today the .40-caliber Glock Model 22 is unaccounted for after an internal audit of the department’s armory. Kriete says the Glock was last recorded in the agency’s possession back in 2021.
The pistol is still believed to be within the department, and the sheriff says there’s no record of it being used in a crime. He says the search for the misplaced weapon is ongoing.
