- 22 per cent of IA in UAE are Emiratis
Dubai: The UAE Internal Auditors Association (UAE-IAA) has recorded a remarkable growth in the participation of Emiratis in the internal auditing sectors through its HASAAD programme, which was launched with the aim of providing training in the field of internal auditing.
The UAE’s internal auditors professional body has launched the 8th cycle of the programme, which will run from October 14 to December 20 in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with the participation of a number of new internal auditors from across different sectors.
The UAE-IAA Chairman Abdulqader Obaid Ali said: “Our strategy is focused on enhancing the role of Emiratis in the internal auditing profession due to its importance in supporting the national economy and ensuring the success of institutions.”

He added, “The UAE-IAA aims to double the current number of Emirati internal auditors in the public and private sectors by 2021, with a view to cope with UAE Vision 2021 aiming to shift to knowledge-based economy with the leadership of Emirati nationals equipped with knowledge and innovation skills.”
