Security layers need to be robust when it comes to the crypto industry. How is the fundamental of any industry different from this sector?

My journey with crypto is young. I have been in the banking industry for the past 15 years; I have been driving information security portfolio programs for different organizations. Here I have started looking at how the industry operates.

Coming to infrastructure and security, how is it different from other industries? I can say the overall security required for crypto is much higher, given a lot of customer value that we hold, it requires a whole lot of understanding what is the best way that we can secure their investments and that should happen consistently. Information security is basically about how we consistently perform. It all boils down to possibly keeping it very simple and at the same time very robust. The major differentiator is the plan and design. Specific to crypto exchanges, this is possibly a best practice across the industry.
