These trainings brought together hydrologists, climatologists, observers, and forecasters, promoting a collaborative approach to improving Haiti’s hydrometeorological services, increasing user satisfaction, and meeting regulatory and operational requirements.
The first training session on Demystifying Quality Management (ISO 9001) was held on 29 January 2025 and attended by 17 UHM staff members. The sessions provided an in-depth introduction to QMS, allowing participants to learn standardized procedures for enhanced service delivery. The training further focused on the principles of quality management, the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and an introduction to WMO No.1100, a valuable resource for QMS development and implementation.
From 11-14 February 2025, an accredited institution, SAI Global, delivered an intensive Internal Auditor Training on ISO 19011:2018. The program was designed to build auditing competencies and ensure that UHM maintains high standards of efficiency.
