Increased security, as well as business and transport disruptions, are likely at the Shahid Salimi Industrial area in East Azerbaijan following an explosion at a paint factory Dec. 26. Some 65 people have been injured as a result of the explosion. A gas leak at the factory reportedly caused the explosion.
Advice
Avoid the affected site until authorities give the all-clear; heed all instructions from emergency services. Consider remaining indoors and keeping windows and doors closed if operating in the facility’s vicinity. Check for disruptions before traveling in the surrounding area and allow extra time to complete journeys.
