Marlborough earns $52K-plus in insurance premium credits – News – Marlborough Enterprise

The city of Marlborough received $52,936 back on its property-casualty insurance costs — applicable toward premium reductions for the next fiscal year — thanks to its participation in an incentive program offered by the Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association, its insurance provider.

Committed to keeping the community safer and fiscally stronger, Marlborough implemented a cyber risk data security policy, trained and certified its police officers in mental health first aid for public safety; and developed a capital improvement plan, among many other initiatives supported by the MIIA Rewards program.

“In the city of Marlborough, safety is key. Proper training and learning how to mitigate risk ensures that everyone is safe while they work,” said Mayor Arthur Vigeant. “I would like to thank the city of Marlborough employees, department heads and MIIA for partnering together to promote safety and as a result made these funds available to save money for the taxpayers.”
