MCPS school board reviews audit findings – News – The Daily Herald

As students returned from spring break this week, the Maury County Public Schools Board of Education held a special called meeting, in which the elected officials reviewed the school district’s scathing audit.

The board dissected the report with a representative from the state, including senior auditor Kent White, who oversaw the Maury County audit.

White said that of the 21 counties audited in greater Middle Tennessee, 15 findings were school related. Eleven came from Maury County Public Schools.

After consulting with representatives from the state, the board members turned to the school district’s administration.
