1. Cloud Security Advancement: DFINITY Foundation has launched UTOPIA (“Unstoppable Tamperproof Open Platform for Independent Autonomy”), a new computing platform technology that creates private serverless clouds powered with unique security and resilience properties. The technology will enable enterprises and governments to build systems and services that do not depend on highly fallible cybersecurity technologies, such as firewalls and anti-malware, for protection against cyberattacks, DFINITY said.
2. Security Company Launches: Beazley Security has entered the market as an integrated cyber risk management company, following the merger announced in February 2024 of specialist insurer Beazley’s in-house cyber services team and its wholly owned cyber security company, Lodestone.
