Former acting city manager of Nelson Mandela Bay Christopher Dyani is facing fraud allegations.

The Nelson Mandela Bay Office of Internal Audit and Risk Assurance: Forensics (IA) launched an investigation into the fraud allegations levelled against the metro’s former acting city manager, Christopher Dyani, who resigned earlier this week.
Although the matter is under investigation by the Hawks, Defenders of the People (DOP) councillor Tukela Zumani sent a letter to Mayor Gary van Niekerk last month, warning him that criminal charges will be laid against him if he “continues to neglect his fiduciary responsibility” by not taking action against Dyani.
