India seems to lack when it comes to shaping up the regulations for countering these threats and cyber attacks.
In an interaction with ETCIO, Shree Parthasarathy, Partner- Deloitte India, talks about the need for regulations and laws in India to be nimble.

How do you see the changing cyber security landscape impacting the role of CISOs?

CISO needs to protect the environment more now than ever. The traditional IT and its emerging aspects, OT and the front-end is changing in almost every environment. In such a scenario, a CISO does not only need to be deeply embedded into business and its information risk management, policy management and governance but also needs to understand technology. This is also imperative because today’s SOCs (Security Operation Centers) are very complex and large. CISOs who do not have a strong technology background will have to upskill themselves. It won’t be easy as a CISO will have to understand how a threat can possibly penetrate an environment from any one of the digital technologies.
