MICHIGAN CITY – A former Barker Middle School employee fired and prosecuted for stealing from extracurricular accounts will have to repay more than $10,000 if the State Board of Accounts gets its way.

Amanda Day of Michigan City was extracurricular treasurer at Barker from Oct. 26, 2015, through May 3, 2016. During that time, she was responsible for the accounting and depositing of money generated from event ticket sales, concessions sales, field trips, fundraisers, text book rental, yearbook sales and physical education uniforms.
