U.S. Car Dealerships Hit by Tech Outage

  • For the second consecutive day, automobile dealerships across the US and Canada have been impacted by a cyber outage at CDK Global, the technology and software service provider.

CDK Global, a prominent technology and software service provider, has experienced a cyber outage that has affected operations for automobile dealerships across the US and Canada for the second consecutive day. CDK was first affected by the cyber incident on June 19, following which the company shut down most of its systems as a preventive measure.

CDK has assured its clients that its services will be reinstated in a timely manner. While the number of automobile dealerships affected has not been made public, CDK services over 15,000 locations across North America. The issue is expected to take a few days to resolve.
