KINGSTON – Ulster County Comptroller March Gallagher announces a promotion appointment in the Comptroller’s Office.
Comptroller Gallagher has appointed Charles Dinstuhl to the position of Deputy Comptroller. Charles Dinstuhl is a Certified Public Accountant who has more than 9 years of accounting experience. Charles served as the Ulster County Director of Internal Audit and Control for the last year. He began his career in public accounting conducting external audits of local municipalities, conducting internal audits of local school districts, and providing tax compliance and consulting services to a wide range of local businesses.
Charles has been a resident of Ulster County since 2003 and is an active community member. He has a passion for internal auditing within the public sector and brings public sector municipal audit experience to the role. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York. Charles also volunteers as treasurer for the Rondout Valley chapter of the American Youth Soccer Organization. Charles earned his BS in Accounting and a BA in Political Science both at SUNY New Paltz.
