University of California appoints captive director

Amy Black has been made director, captives programs, at the University of California’s Office of the President in Oakland, California.

Black was previously a manager of risk management at healthcare company Sutter Health, before leaving it in February 2024. She joined the company in 2025 as a risk & insurance consultant based in Sacramento, California.

Prior to that she was an associate client executive at Marsh, based in San Francisco, from December 2013 to January 2015.

Before that she worked for a number of energy-related firms in California.
