Michael Weigand has been appointed director of the Office of Internal Oversight and Performance Assurance of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, according to a Tuesday news release.
Weigand, who has experience with managing internal audit, enterprise risk and controls, and business continuity functions, served as the head of risk, compliance, and internal audit at Checkout.com, the PCAOB said.
Brian Janda will resume his role as the IOPA’s deputy director after serving as its acting director since September, according to the PCAOB.
