Minister for Emergency Situations Vadim Sinyavsky, cadets of the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry for Emergency Situations, together with the head of the university and the head of the capital’s garrison of rescuers took part in a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Victory Monument in Minsk as part of the republican campaign “Belarus Remembers!” dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Great Victory.
Vadim Sinyavsky headed the delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to honor the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the long-awaited Victory 79 years ago. Cadets of the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry for Emergency Situations also took part in the ceremony, demonstrating deep respect for the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War.
The event gathered not only officials, but also many citizens who came to express their gratitude and respect for the war heroes. Among those present were veterans, each of whom was given special attention.
