CSB Bank Limited has announced the appointment of Vaibhav Sonavane as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), reinforcing the bank’s focus on strengthening cybersecurity and digital resilience in the evolving BFSI landscape.
Bringing nearly two decades of experience in cyber risk management, cloud security, data protection, identity governance, and enterprise security architecture, Vaibhav’s appointment marks a strategic step in advancing CSB Bank’s security and compliance posture.
Before joining CSB Bank, he served as Senior Vice President and Head of Emerging Tech & Cloud Security at Axis Bank, where he led key initiatives to modernize cyber defence frameworks. His professional journey also includes leadership roles at Oracle, PwC India, Wipro Technologies, Rolta India Limited, and Jardine Lloyd Thompson Canada Inc. (JLT Canada), giving him a broad perspective across consulting, technology, and global financial services.
