Cloud security company Zscaler Inc. today announced the introduction of Zscaler Asset Exposure Management, a new service designed to advance how organizations manage their cyber asset attack surfaces.
The new service consolidates and correlates data from various sources to deliver organizations a precise inventory of assets and visibility into their security gaps, thereby mitigating cyber risk.
Zscaler Asset Exposure Management seeks to address the issue wherein organizations often struggle to maintain an accurate inventory of their assets. The company argues that information technology and security teams resort to spending hours using spreadsheets to track assets, in the process making it difficult to assess the risks these assets pose and prioritize remediation efforts. Being able to track assets is a particular issue in regulated industries, such as healthcare and financial services, where noncompliance can result in significant fines.
