BMO names information security chief

BMO Financial Group has appointed Sri Dronamraju as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Dronamraju, who is set to step into the role on January 6, will oversee the bank’s global strategy for cyber security. With offices in Toronto and Chicago, he will also have teams located in North America, Asia, and Europe.

Dronamraju will be reporting to Larry Zelvin, Head Financial Crimes, as well as Ken Librot, U.S. Chief Technology and Operations Officer.

“Sri has broad experience, including in his role as Head, Enterprise Information & Technology Risk Management at BMO where he helped with the successful integration of cybersecurity into our Financial Crimes Unit,” Zelvin said in a statement. “He is a proven leader, with a strong track record of excellence in aligning objectives with strategy and building digital capabilities.”

Dronamraju’s experience includes key cyber, risk and technology leadership positions at MassMutual Financial Group, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup, and Cambridge Technology Partners. He also holds an MBA from Columbia University, along with Master’s degree in System Science from Louisiana State…
