The US National Weather Service (NWS) Tallahassee has issued a flash flood warning for parts of southcentral Georgia until 19:15 EST Feb. 11 due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in the area. The warning covers parts of Berrien County, Brooks County, Cook County, Lanier County, Webster County, and Lowndes County. Locations affected by the warning include Valdosta, Adel, Nashville, Lakeland, Lake Park, Hahira, Sparks, Enigma, Ray City, Lenox, Alapaha, Pavo, Moody Air Force, I-75 At Exit 16, Remerton, Meigs, Dasher, Morven, Barwick, and Quitman. Those in the affected area are being advised to move to higher ground and avoid walking or driving through flooded areas.

Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, underpasses, and other poor drainage and low-lying areas is likely in the impact area.
