Mel has more than 20 years of combined experience in information security management, cyber security governance, assurance and operations, application and infrastructure security, IT infrastructure management and operations, operational technology (OT) security, cloud security, business continuity, IT disaster recovery, enterprise risk management, privacy, IT auditing, gap assessments, project management across multiple industries namely financial services, technology and consulting, energy distribution, power generation, telecommunications, business process outsourcing, engineering and construction.
Currently, she is the Co-founder and President of the Women in Security Alliance Philippines (WiSAP) which focuses on empowering and inspiring women in Security, the Vice Chairman of the MVP Group Cyber Security Council and an EXCO in the ASEAN CIO Association. Before this, she was concurrently the Vice President and Group CISO of Meralco, the largest Power DU Conglomerate in the Philippines.
