Cybersecurity and consumer protection in the transport sector, among others, will be at the centre stage of discussions at the 2023 Regtech Africa Conference scheduled to be held in Lagos.

The international conference, scheduled for May 24 to 26, 2023, will focus on the development, challenges, solutions and economics of cybercrime, which is one of the emerging threats facing the global air transport sector in particular, and global economies as a whole.

The forum will have regulators, regulated and key industry stakeholders to engage, collaborate and share knowledge around new technologies and practices that support better regulations.

Chief Executive Officer of Regtech Africa Conference, Cyril Okoroigwe, said the conference is coming at a time when digital revolution in the financial sector has seen increasing changes with a new move towards technology-driven delivery channels. This holds great promise as a means to enable financial inclusion and thus help improve citizens’ lives.
